Apple will provide live audio streaming of its FY 08 First Quarter Results Conference Call utilizing Apple’s industry-leading QuickTime multimedia software on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, 2pm PST/5pm EST. The live audio webcast will be accessible through Apple’s website at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/earningsq108/.
The conference call will be available as a continuous rebroadcast beginning Tuesday, January 22 at 5pm PST/8pm EST through Tuesday, January 29 at 5pm PST/8pm EST.
Listeners simply need a copy of QuickTime 6 or QuickTime 7 to listen to the conference call. QuickTime 7 is available from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/.
So, 160 today… who wants to predict the closing number on the 22nd?
I predict the stock will rise, but not as much as many believe it will. In time it should completely recover, but I don’t think so from this one specific event or all at once. (although, I would love to be wrong here).
The overall U.S. economy is the biggest factor. It’s not good and it will take some time to recover.
$175 before the call
$187 in the aftermarket
$165 the next day
Apple’s trendline will continue up in the current downdraft. Once it seems AAPL is a safe harbor, the stock will begin back up.
A stock that continues to perform this well as others sink is worth owning.
My bet is to buy Monday morning if it still in the low 160’s and sell just before conference call.
