“Apple will soon announce steps to resolve European Commission charges that its iTunes stores broke EU rules by setting prices country by country in Europe, people familiar with the situation said on Tuesday,” David Lawsky reports for Reuters.
“The announcement may come later on Tuesday or at the latest by Thursday, the sources said,” Lawsky reports. “After that, the European Union competition regulator is expected to announce that it is closing the long-running case involving the pricing of online sales of music and video used in the popular iPod personal audiovisual player.”

MacDailyNews Note: Last September, Peter Lattman reported for The Wall Street Journal, “‘Apple has always wanted to operate a single pan-European iTunes Store accessible by anyone from any member state,’ said an Apple spokesman. ‘We don’t think Apple did anything to violate EU law.’ An EU spokesman also blamed the record labels, two of which are owned by European companies, for this situation. He told the WSJ in April that regulators considered Apple to be more a victim than a culprit. ‘This is an arrangement imposed on Apple by the record companies,’ the spokesman said. ‘The main focus of our attention is the major record companies.'”
Hopefully this brings iTunes also to EU countries where it’s currently not available.

i have been having the same problem, also the fonts are showing up incorrectly.
i just got a refreshed page after my comment and the article went away and the fonts shrunk again.
About time.. here in Denmark we pay $1.58 a song, and still can’t even buy video content 🙁
