“It was a year of ups and downs in business. A year where the world came together, with money moving from the Mideast and China to Europe and the United States — and a year when Wall Street collided with main street in the biggest housing bust we have ever seen,” Maria Bartiromo reports for CNBC. “So who was the face of business in 2007? It depends on whether you look at the glass as half empty or half full.”
Bartiromo writes, “So this year, we’re asking you, our viewers, to choose the face that best depicts the financial ups and downs of 2007.”

He’s really a extremely interesting man.
And he thanks his team at Apple – knowing they are the true stars at Apple.

“The American Homeowner”? Would that be the same one with a subprime mortgage, two low-paying jobs, no savings, and far more credit card debt than he can afford?

Ahhhhh…. Maria…. Every time I see her name or her face I get these thoughts in my head.
Only thing more uh, interesting.?.. is that 5% of the people voting picked “Homeowners” as The Face of Business 2007. Sort of an indicator of how useful some polls are ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
Roberto:
Did you fart?
y,SM:
“Sort of an indicator of how useful some polls are”.
Naw, just an indicator of Windows users voting.
Wingsy:
What, thoughts of a silly CNBC poll? That’s bizarre!
hes up to 67% now!
It’s those same home owners with their subprime mortgages that think Social Security is heading for a crisis, that global warming is a hoax, and that Rush & Bill-O levitate above the rest to offer the shining truth.
… and who really believe these polls have any validity.
Well, I guess they would be valid to me if they supported what I wanted them to. And if they didn’t then they would be bogus. See, that’s not so bad, is it? Hm…?
68% & climbing!!!!! Thanks in part to all of us.
Crabapple,
Have you been cheating too?
Safari, FireFox, Camino, Opera, IE.
‘Nuff said.
I feel a little pity for Steve Schwarzman. O.K., not really.
71% now.
It’s funny how these surveys always have an incredible tilt to Steve Jobs whenever they include him.
Obviously, a large chunks come from Apple geeks from around the world. There aren’t many companies with followers that can compare to the fervor loyal Apple people. How could they ever expect to fairly compete? lol
