i knew about their reputation on rebates; the docs i submitted were flawless and i still was rejected.
after contacting the ca bbb, they were immediately accepted.
That’s funny – I must have submitted 20 separate rebates to MacMall over the years and never had a single issue.
Mail in rebates are a pain in the A$$. Just apply the savings at sales time. Christ I’m sick of having to jump through hoops….

The reason mail in rebates exist is because retailers were constantly stiffed by companies when they were applied at sales time back in the old days.
Hey MacMall, a sale on MACs isn’t going to help—I bet you can’t even give I-pods and MACs away. People know expensive MACs can’t play games so they don’t bother. That’s why Apple’s market share is so low.
I got a flyer in the mail today from Dell. Great business tools and computers that can play games were inside. You MAC lemmings should check it out. Good stuff.

People know expensive MACs can’t play games so they don’t bother.
Actually if you do your research, only ONE of the top 10 selling games for PC’s are not on the Mac. That’s Half Life.
In fact a couple of the top selling games have come out on the Mac FIRST, then the PC next. Because if it sells well to Mac users, it will sell well, and be rapidly pirated, on the PC side.
There are plenty of Mac games, most of them are quality. There are even more PC games, but a lot of them are of poor quality.
Mac users have money, they pay for good software. PC users are on general are cheap bastards more likely to steal software.
If you really do your research you’ll see that PC gaming in general, even on Mac’s, is in decline in favor of cheaper and faster consoles like the buggy, overheating, fire starting, only 3 processor X-box and the superior PS3 with the state of the art, cool running, 9 core Cell processor and integrated FREE Blue-Ray HD Disc player. (should Apple buy Sony?)
So you see a pattern here. PC = cheap, poor quality. Mac = well to do, better quality.

It’s amazing how the prices of hard drives, both internal and external, have dropped in the last few years. A LaCie 500GB external for $115! Sweet! I’m still using an old Maxtor 250GB external I paid $330 for on sale. I can’t wait for the 2TB drives to come out so the 1TB models will drop in price even more. I need two of them to configure in RAID 1 and start ripping all of my CDs in the Apple Lossless format. Heck, even now the 1TB hard drives are available for almost $250 in an OEM version and they were $1,000 when they first came out. I wish the pricing on new cars worked like this.
