The French language website MacBidouille has numerous photos of the Apple iPhone launch in France outside an Orange store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris here.
More photos of the French iPhone launch via Flickr are here.

Resistance is futile. The iPhone will not be denied.
Not as long as the lines on Doug Morris’ table in his private Manhattan restaurant.
When is it coming to Mexico? Carlos Slim (Owner of Telcel Cell Co, America Movil and Telmex) is shareholder of Apple.
Apple site just opened a few days ago… so when it is coming?
Canada, Canada, Canada……When? When? When?
*snif, snif* I remember our iDay… sure was great… unforgettable… expensive…
Coming to Canada?
Due to be released shortly after friken never.
The 25 people here who:
a. Want one
b. Are on the Rogers network
c. Can afford the $799 CDN (825USD) plus the 100 per month for 1 meg data plan
mw ‘party’ as in we aren’t aboot to get invited to this party 🙁
@Victor
The iPhone is never coming to Mexico. Mexico is coming to iPhone by crossing the border illegally. No phones for Hector.
“The iPhone is never coming to Mexico. Mexico is coming to iPhone by crossing the border illegally. No phones for Hector.”
Spoken by a true cabron.
It will make it to all over the world. Mexico, wait for June… sorry for such an early notice (or should I say a late release).
Wow, all those Parisians with great skin…
But I though Ballmer said the iPhone wouldn’t sell?
As usual those supposedly in “the know” said it would flop in Europe. I’ve never seen line-ups for any other brand of phone. Say hello to more iTunes market share and say buh-bye to Universal Music’s pipe dream of subverting Apple.
MS chief has been eerily quiet
I thought some important idiot said the iphone would not take off for a bunch of reasons like its not a business phone?
@Kev
I bet Ballermer and gates to each other secretly with an iPhone.
Tech envy is a killer.
The iphone will grow on a exponential curve. This just the beginning.
I think its time for Apple to open another Flagship store right next to Redmond HQ. hehe
To think that this guy from BusinessWeek said the Apple Stores will be out of business in 2 years. Looks like its going pretty strong to me. haha

“Canada, Canada, Canada”
Why aren’t there any Canadian restaurants in the U.S.?
There’s American, Mexican, Chinese, Greek, Italian and so on. Canada is certainly big enough. Is there Canadian (as in cultural) food? Other than beer.
@Viktor…
Don’t know when is officially coming, but mine is working with movistar on pay as you go since August… Bought it on Launch day because I had to have it….
MW: Gave, as in I gave my hope for an official iPhone launch in Mexico (we still have not an iTunes store!!!, bittorrent working wonderfully though ; )
to Ampar,
There is great Canadian cuisine. Seal blubber soup, filet of old growth grub worms and pan fried permafrost. Hey, at least we can laugh at ourselves.
To marcos: Nice! Um, I’ll just have a beer. Thanks.
Ampar,
You should come up and taste our beaver.
Beaver tail is a special delicacy.
Come up and get some tail.
That picture is of people in line to see the remastered “Don’t Raise The Bridge, Lower The River”…..
Jubei said, “I think its time for Apple to open another Flagship store right next to Redmond HQ. hehe.”
But Apple will first have to put in a store nearby that sells Groucho Marx disguises — shnoz, glasses and mustache.
This is the best comedic read I have had for a long time!
Who says there is a writer’s strike?
They are all bloggin’ here!
Now I am just hoping that iPhone will officially hit Australia in ’08. In time for the Olympics in China because I can bet China will get the iPhone – soon. 50 million sales is nothing to sneeze at.
Les félicitations tous d’entre vous les Grenouilles!!! Appréciez!
A little off-topic but a follow up to post by MizuinOz. Just returned from Hong Kong where I read in a paper (English Version) that 1000 iPhones are being smuggled from HK to Shenzhen daily then distributed to the rest of China. Also iPhones are being spotted all over Beijing. I have no idea the veracity of the article.
I was having a suit made in HK and the tailors were more interested in my iTouch thinking it was an iPhone than taking measurements.
