MarketWatch holds Readers’ Choice CEO of the Year Award poll (Apple CEO Steve Job among candidates)

On December 6th, MarketWatch will announce the winner of its annual CEO of the Year Award.

If the choice were up to you, who would you vote for?

• Steve Jobs, Apple Inc. – 49%
• Steve Ballmer, Microsoft Inc. – 4%
• Eric Schmidt, Google Inc. – 14%
• John Chambers, Cisco Systems Inc. – 11%
• Mark Hurd, Hewlett-Packard Co. – 19%

The winners of both the MarketWatch and MarketWatch Readers’ Choice Awards will be announced on December 6, 2007.

  1. Savage: Can’t explain how is the name of the infamous Ballmer there!!?? More, who voted for this… gentleman?

    Because some people equate profit with a sign of good CEOship, and MS makes a huge profit. Heck you can put a monkey and it’d be a “good CEO”. For these kind of people, the mess that is Vista doesn’t make a blip in the radar.

    I think Schmidt is a good CEO, but Jobs (with iPhone hit) and Hurd (HP turnaround) deserve to be the top 2.
