does it work with Leopard yet?
FileMaker released version 9.0v2 a few days ago which is compatible with Leopard (it’s a 300+ MB download). I read on their site that they are scheduling their server products to be updated for Leopard in “early 2008”.

FileMaker is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Apple, Inc. Why Apple doesn’t put their name on this important product and make it part of iWork is anybody’s guess.
Filemaker is history to me.
I have been using FM Pro since version 5 all the way up to 8.5 advanced.
I don’t have any need to buy the 9 version, and since 8.5 doesn’t work on leopard any more, all my data is lying around gathering virtual dust.
I do not plan to spend any more time with it.
And I can asure you that I am not the only one…

You do realize that you outlined a very compelling reason to upgrade to FileMaker Pro 9, do you not? If your data is so important to you, you would either upgrade or migrate to a new platform.
There are very good reasons to use FileMaker and there are very good reasont to NOT user FileMaker. You haven’t provided any reasons for either side.
