  1. “Power, Mystery, and the Hammer of the Gods”.

Zep then, Zep now, Zep forever. Best band on the face of the planet. Always will be. Try and find a better set of 4 musicians in a single band and you’d be hard pressed to come up with anyone close.

And all this from someone who was only 7 when Bonzo died.

MW: Taking. As in the world was theirs for the taking in the 70’s.

  2. Led Zeppelin ripped off so many blues artists it isn’t even funny. Changing the lyrics from you need love to whole lotta love was real original. Google Willie Dixon songs and listen to the originals of Zeppelins cover songs. Zepplin is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Fatty Arbuckle

Sure you can download it illegally for free, but what’s your time worth?

Considering the fact that you can d/l it in lossless form, I’d say a lot of people will invest in their time with a bittorrent, especially if you get a fast seeder.

  4. Jimmy Page – that’s all – OK, not really. Jeff Beck, Albert Lee – OK that’s good. Wish I could find more Albert Lee on iTunes. Of all the guitarists I’ve heard he is the most amazing – not necessarily the best – but the most amazing. Wish Heads, hands and Feet had made more albums.

  5. …is this DRM free higher quality AAC? or the crap DRM bitrate?

No use unless it’s cd quality.

Yes there is a difference if you have a quality sound system.

5.1 optical out of a MacBook Pro to a good 5.1 surround sound system and Volume Logic installed in iTunes. Enjoy!!

  6. Hmmm seems to be a trend by some (read: Marko) to deflate the importance of Zep. To each his own. And your great band would be???

I always love the “Zep ripped off X blues legend” line of “reasoning”. AFAIK Zep was always up front about their influences. Wasn’t it Shakespeare who said there are 12 original ideas, all else is a variation on the theme”.

@Dude- KISS. Another of my favorite bands. With Eric Carr they were top notch. I am an absolute Ace fan, however not near Page IMHO.

  7. “No use unless it’s cd quality.

Wah, wah, wah… Dude, go by the CDs then, you have a choice, there’s nothing to whine about… If you want CD quality, then (Duh) go buy the CDs! If you have a shitty sound system and you enjoy convenience, download them… Problem solved.

  8. 99 Dollars? I thought the whole success of iTunes was based on the idea of buying one song for .99. This “album only” business has no appeal to me. Looks like Zep still doesn’t get it. I’ll save my money until I can pick which songs I want.
