Energizer introduces Energi To GO portable power for Apple iPod

Energizer has introduced the Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod. This battery-powered device will be arriving in stores nationwide in October.

The Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod is the first iPod charger to combine the power of Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries and the portability of a compact, cord-free design. It features a patented intelligent control chip that maximizes power transfer to the iPod, and its unique flip design allows iPod owners to use it as a stand while charging and fold it for easy storage. Sleek enough to complement the iconic styling of the iPod, the compact charger travels easily and is exceptionally lightweight.

The Portable Power for iPod delivers a considerable amount of extra listening time for iPod users. In testing with Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries, the charger provided more than 46 hours of music playback on the iPod nano and more than 32 hours of music playback on the iPod with video.

“At Energizer, we’re always trying to respond to consumers’ needs for portable power,” said Mike Rivard, Energizer General Manager, New Products, in the press release. “With the new Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod, you’ll know that whether you’re on a plane, at a campground, or at any other location without a power outlet, your music will keep going. And it features the kind of design that iPod owners appreciate and expect.”

The Energizer Energi To GO Portable Power for iPod features a licensed Apple iPod connector and is adjustable so that it’s compatible with fourth-and fifth-generation iPods, iPod nano, and iPod mini. The suggested retail price for Energizer Energi To Go iPod Portable Power Source is US$29.99 and includes the charger and two Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries.

Energizer Energi To Go Portable Power for iPod will be available in the iPod accessories sections at mass, drug, consumer electronics, and airport retailers this fall.

So you’re saying I’ll be able to buy it from my drug dealer? Hmm.

Seriously though… will this work with the iPod touch?

  2. In order for them to stay ahead of their largest rival, they need to invent as contraceptive for bunnies!!! that will stop them breeding so quickly that they overrun the competition!

Camel’s Milk makes a good contraceptive delivery solution! No bunny wants to do what a bunny does, while its partners is farting like the flying Scotsman or is it Dutchman? maybe Stephenson’s rocket!!

  3. Great Idea…

The one area where the iPod gets beat by the walkman & other MP3 players…I can have non-stop power for a battery-powered device as long as I have batteries.

    OK, so like, that was obvious. But it’s soooo true. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />

  4. 🙁 ooops… duh… not non-stop power, cuz I’d still have to stop to change the batteries…but at least I know that I can keep going, and going, and going ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” /> as long as I have the batteries

  5. I agree.

And I’d like to see some fancy wind-up generator to create power similar to the 3rd world laptop as well.

I’m kinda thinking there’s lots of energy available out there – we don’t need to plug everything in (or buy additional batteries) to charge our devices.
