  1. Oh, okay…I get it…they didn’t have any Beatles-related announcement. Let the whining begin!

May I just ask one question though: When did *Apple* ever, ever, ever, say or imply they were going to have any sort of Beatles-related announcement? When? Where was it? In what context? Did I miss something?

How many times must it be said: IGNORE THE RUMORS! YOU’LL ONLY BE DISAPPOINTED! APPLE IS NOT OBLIGED TO MEET THE EXPECTATIONS OF RUMORS!

Can you get your mind around that?

    Nope, didn’t think so.

In every single one of these product announcements, it’s always the same. Some pathetic loser that had pinned his hopes on a wild rumor gets *mad* at Apple. Their are no entitlements in life! Really!

  2. ahh I new it…. no matter what Apple announces you people will always find a reason to bitch.

You are all very, very sad. It must suck never being even remotely satisfied with anything in life.

My take on the new on the new stuff. Not a big fan of the Fat Nano, but it has it’s place. The iPod Touch is fantastic, and the price drop on the iPhone is just what the doctor ordered.

No Beatles? So what? You Beatles fans telling me that you don’t already have every CD in your iTunes anyway?

  3. f@ck you…that was a legit question.

Im not asking an exact date…Im asking, as a recent switcher, what time of year does apple USUALLY release a new pro line, if and or when they do?

I thought that would be obvious…you guys trying to predict what f@cking ipods will be released are the idiots.

  4. No, you don’t get your $200 back.

    Why?

Because – at the time – you obviously believed it was worth what you paid! Also, it hardly too Nostradamus to work out that once the initial rush was sorted out and the production was running at steady-state that prices were probably going to drop.

You’re upset because you got screwed as an early adopter. It goes with the territory. Live with it. It’s all part of living in a healthy free-market economy.

  5. Orange is theirs. hahahaha I don’t know.

I love the Matte Black Nano. I’ll buy it in 8Gb model.

The only thing I don’t LIKE that Apple showed us today… is the tones of colour that all these models come in.

The colours are so Zune like – was the range of colours Microsoft picked so inspiring… I hope not. Ok… colours are not exact… but still… mmmmmmmm HOPE others like the colours.

  6. What a total joke of an announcement today. Not only was there absolutely nothing of interest, but also, I think Apple really messed up iPods. I am a huge Apple/Mac fanboy. I own tons of Apple products, and love pretty much every one of them. I think the new nanos are terrible looking, the new touch iPod doesn’t have enough capacity, the iPod classic is okay, and who cares about buying iTunes music over WiFi or at Starbucks. I am about tired of the joint corporate ventures. Don’t even get me started on trying to charge me $0.99 for a ringtone when I already own the ENTIRE SONG! Why should I have $0.99 for a 30-second clip when I already have the entire song! Also, what gives. I just bought this damn iPhone, granted I love it, but less then 6 months and you drop the price $200? WTF!!! I bought 2 phones and for that kind of price, I could have had 3 now! Not cool Apple, not cool. Let’s hope they don’t screw the computers up this bad in the future!

  7. Some of you are just so hard to please. The price of iPhones could have stayed the same, or even gone up. But no, to boost sales and further kick the competition (what competition?) in the gonads they drop the price for the upcoming ” holiday ” buying season. Way to go Apple, keep up the great marketing of even greater products!

  8. @Willie G
Thank you. It is sad to see how many must define themselves by disappointment and anger. Each one of the products introduced today adds features and value to what was available yesterday. Grow up everyone and quit acting like a bunch of spoiled babies.

If Apple isn’t supplying what you want, start a business and build what you think is better.

  9. ” yeah, i also want my $200 back. The new nano sucks and so does about everything else apple did today with the exception of the wifi store.”

“just bought this damn iPhone, granted I love it, but less then 6 months and you drop the price $200? WTF!!! I bought 2 phones and for that kind of price, I could have had 3 now! Not cool Apple, not cool.”

The only people complaining are the early iPhone buyers.
The Nanos look great, and they will sell tons of music at starbucks.
The new iPod touch just left the competition in the dust with the ability to surf the net.

  10. Oo it blows they dropped the iPhone price by $200… cry cry… Oh well life sucked folks… Just be glad you were not one of the idiots that bought them on eBay for higher than retail. I have two iPhones at the full price and only thing I see is that I can now more easily buy iPhones for the rest of our staff.

MDN Magic word: makes. The stuff today makes me happy!

  11. I love the idea of the new touch iPod. That being said, the new nano is about the ugliest thing Apple has done in a long time. All out of scale, proportion, etc… It looks cheap and very “unApple”. Not crazy about the new iPod classic, either. My 30gb iPod video is sleek and sexy with the white plastic face and sharp corners. The classic looks like a metal version of my old 3g iPod from 2003.

However, I’m not in the market for a new iPod anyway, and I guess Apple knows their market better than I do. I do think they are redesigning the nano far too fast, though. What is this, the third version in a year, and none of them remotely resemble each other?

Ditto on the computer concerns. I’m with Apple because of their computers, not the iPod. Please, Please, Please deliver the new OS on time, this time, please… I’m going to coin a new phrase: “iPod orphan”.

  12. Frankly, I don’t like the new nanos. Everything else today was just as it should except for the ringtones. I didn’t have a problem with the look of the nano. If I wanted to watch video, I’d get a classic or touch. This seems a little larger than somebody would want to run with but a shuffle can’t work with the Nike+. Oh well, they’ll just be cheaper refurbished online.
