MacPractice introduces text, email and voice messaging abilities

MacPractice, Inc., developer of MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DDS for dentists, MacPractice DC for chiropractors, and MacPractice 20/20 for optometrists, the preeminent Mac OS X practice management software and clinical applications, introduces a Communications Ability enabling text, email, and voice messaging from all MacPractice products.

Medical, Dental, Chiropractic and Optometric offices can now use MacPractice to automatically recall patients and confirm appointments via text message or email with an option to include a voice message in an email. Patients may also be called from outside the office with a professionally prerecorded reminder. The patient has the option to record a message that is emailed to the office or transfer to the office to speak to the front desk.

For each patient for each appointment, offices may choose to communicate using a combination of text message, email (with or without voice recording), and/or phone, according to the patient’s preference, at a cost of less than .15 per reminder.

The MacPractice Communications Service features a personalized web account for overseeing call delivery in real time. Daily call reports are provided detailing exact outcomes of each call. Of course the Service may be used for marketing, and sales activities as well as recalls and reminders.

“Automated two-way communications without staff having to pick up the phone saves time and money, delivers a consistent, warm message, and facilitates better service to patients in the office,” says Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice, in the press release.

1,750 doctors’ offices have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management software and technical support. MacPractice, Inc. also supports the use of Mac OS 9 applications MediMac, ChiroMac, and DentalMac by several hundred offices.
