With every concert ticket purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster is providing a complimentary ten-song digital music sampler showcasing a variety of emerging and established artists.
In addition, with the purchase of every ticket to any summer concert scheduled to take place between Memorial Day (May 28) and Labor Day (Sept 3) Ticketmaster.com ticket buyers may download one complimentary song of their choice from Apple’s iTunes Store.
“Ticketmaster’s concert program gets digital and live music directly to the fans, enabling them to experience new and undiscovered music,” said Sean Moriarty, President and CEO of Ticketmaster, in the press release. “We are dedicated to providing Ticketmaster buyers with rewarding opportunities across all categories of live entertainment and these special music offers are a great way to kick off the summer concert season.”
It’s easy:
1. Purchase a concert ticket on Ticketmaster.com for any show scheduled between Memorial Day (May 28) and Labor Day (Sept. 3) and you’ll get an electronic code for a complimentary song of your choice on iTunes, plus a digital sampler featuring a selection of hand-picked music.
2. Visit Apple’s iTunes Store via iTunes.
3. Click the Redeem link in the Quick Links box in the upper-right corner of the iTunes Store. Then enter the code to get credit for one free song. If you have more codes to redeem, you can enter them for more credits. Be sure to redeem your free song(s) before the expiration date noted on the email sent by Ticketmaster.

This maybe wishful thinking, but how about a “Summer of Free Octo Mac Pros”?
yer welcome ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”red face” style=”border:0;” />
@TF
I’d be first in line for that one ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />
I’ve already redeemed my free songs for some tickets I recently purchased. It was a nice surprise to get some free downloads and a great opportunity to try out some new artists. Great idea!
Will you be able to get EMI’s DRM-free tunes — the $1.29 kind — or is the code only worth $0.99? Anyone know yet?
Ticketmaster is even more larcenous than the record labels.
No wonder they can afford this.
During the slow Mac season, maybe Apple should do a “buy a Mac, get 25 free downloads” promotion.
I would prefer a summer of free love.
Now that’s the ticket!
MW:girls hah!
I guess the autofill changed my name to ‘T’
Not even a ‘Mr.’
Weird
@TT
yeah, doncha hate it when that happens ?
“Summer of Love” …. ???
Showin’ yer age, huh ? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />
That’s cool. Just no Loverboy reunion concerts. Please. Maybe Woz can bring back the US Festivals. Get Nintendo as a sponsor and call them the WII Festivals. Or Pink Floyd and call them US & THEM Festivals.
oh my
I was too young to enjoy the last one….. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
BTW, for years, I thought (for some reason) that is was in 1969.
They had a different name for then. Summer of ’69. Bet it was hot…
@TT
Actually, the first “Summer of Love” was held in Golden Gate Park, SF, Ca .. in 1967 …
I remember little of those times, cuz I think someone gave me some free sugar cubes for my coffee ! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />
oh my
Right. Except my Summer of Love and Summer of ’69 happened a few years later.
Hey, I think we all know now why Jobs like cubes……
“…Hey, I think we all know now why Jobs like cubes..”
Hey, I hadn’t thought of that !
So, after the $2.99+ ‘service charge’, and the $3.99+ ‘handling fee’, and the other ‘online fees’ at TicketMaster, we get $0.99 back, sort of.
It’s cheaper, usually, at least here in Boston, to take the T down to the actual box office….
Fscking TicketBastard!!!
I hate them almost as much as Microsucks.
“Ticketmaster and Apple team up”
those words make me want to throw up. Ticketmaster is a horrible horrible horrible corporations.
