Apple Board Members Bill Campbell, Millard Drexler, Albert Gore Jr., Arthur D. Levinson, Eric Schmidt and Jerry York on Wednesday released the following statement:
We are not going to enter into a public debate with Fred Anderson or his lawyer. Steve Jobs cooperated fully with Apple’s independent investigation and with the government’s investigation of stock option grants at Apple. The SEC investigated the matter thoroughly and its complaint speaks for itself, in terms of what it says, what it does not say, who it charges, and who it does not charge. We have complete confidence in the conclusions of Apple’s independent investigation, and in Steve’s integrity and his ability to lead Apple.

Let’s hope this is the end of the story…
Too many people from Redmond WA want Steve to be Martha Stewarted. There are no WMD in Cupertino.
Where are the multi touch iPods? I would have thought they’d have at least announced one by now.
Sorry MDN, but this new look site sucks
Holy tiny comments!!
MW: less isn’t more.
iThink I agree that the layout is not very good. It wastes space and a fix width arrangement is lame. It makes the horizontal scroll bar appear on a 12′ Powerbook with Safari as big as it can go.
Now I have to buy new reading glasses….
I guess Steve Jobs & Fred Anderson aren’t going to be best buddies anymore.
Yeah, Apple and Steve need to stay away from this bet-hedging-card being played by Mr. Anderson in the last verse of his swan song. Come on Steve, stay focused on the three things that have GOT TO happen this calendar year: 1) iPhone; 2) Leopard, fully developed and tested, and no further delay; 3) A whole new iPod/PDA combo, (basically the iPhone without telephony).
And finally, what the fuke is up with the tiny comments:-?
Fred just won’t go away quietly. Apple hopes that by saying little Fred’s titillating tirades of bitterness turn into a monotonous monologue of maliciousness.
Smaller fonts, I want smaller 45-nm fonts!
Give it up MDN. This new change SUCKS!
No shit, MDN word: fact “and that’s a fact!”
This site is unreadable. What happened today to make the fonts
tiny? Not just smaller, but tiny, tiny. This is bizarre.
I checked another headline and the comments following it. It is this headline. Queer…..
Fixed width is not for every site. Now when I resize window to fill the screen and increase the text size in a 30″ display there’s all that wasted margin space. Need to allow an option to change to the old layout
Relax people, it’s just someone fooling around with a stylesheet. It won’t take much to restore the font size.
I wonder whether they’ll later say Steve forced them to release that ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
“I’m melting, I’m melting, Oh want a world!”
“Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live
They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin’ great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet
Well, I don’t want no short people
Don’t want no short people
Don’t want no short people
Round here”
“I’ll tell you one thing, it’s a cruel, cruel world.”
“there’s not a hell of a lot I can do about being short. You just gotta run with it.”
“A lot of people have asked me how short I am. Since my last divorce, I think I’m about $100,000 short.”
FYI….
You guys need to adjust the CSS and fix the font-size in the comments…
