You should include in MDN’s take, the projected earnings for this quarter; and the fact that there seems to be a general consensus that Apple will beat these projections. In other words, don’t expect a big jump in share price, unless Apple blows the projections out of the water, and second, there will certainly be analysts pointing out that things like high gross margins are one-time events, etc. Essentially pouring rain on any parade until the iPhone hits the market. All-in-all I don’t expect much change in share price due to future uncertainty over the successful launch of the iPhone. Nothing else matters in comparison.
MDN, Macs are capable of creating tables.
@visueal clarity:
Breakfast tables, or Dinner tables? Bedside tables, or drawing tables? Please be clear, if my Mac can create a new table, I want to be sure its one I can use!
MW: (I kid you not!) table
Sorry, I mispelled your name – apologies! (fat fingers plus a keyboard that can’t spell, either – work PC, not my Mac)
MW: great, as in not so great an excuse…
And spreadsheets, too!
I call 1.3 million Macs and 10.5 million iPods.
Let the random guessing begin!!!
I’d like to have an Apple Macintosh Coffee Table (AMCT) that has built-in Galaga, Q*Bert, Missile Command and Defender.
@Twisted Mac Freak
Don’t forget Super Mario Bros.
Damn, the way you people format dates is fucked up!
Why would you put the least significant part of the date in the middle?
The trend for Apple looks good though!
@Emil
Because when Americans speak the date, we usually say, “January 3rd, 2007”, so when we do the short format, we just write it 1-3-07. It’s simple, really, when you realize that English is spoken a certain way here. Many European languages use a different order to their dates, so you write yours differently.
(Actually, we just like to confound foreigners when they get here, plus we like to be different! Damn contrary Americans! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!)
O.K, Super Mario. And Tempest!
… in fact the rest of the world write it differently to the (north) Americans!
We think in terms of day, month, year (eg. today’s date 23.04.07).
Silly really! It’s much more logical to think: month, day, year, isn’t it now?!
The Brits also say: ” April the 24th, 2007. ” But the difference is, they don’t let it ‘trip them up’ mentally – like the (north) Americans.
Like I said, we just like to trip ’em up, show ’em we’re different – as if they couldn’t tell already! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
The US military has been using day, month, year (like the Europeans) since at least the 60’s when I was in. The US military also uses a 24 hour clock, like Europeans.
And that’s because they’ve been working closely WITH the Europeans since at least that time… it’s called compatibility, and it tends to avoid confusion in moments of tension, such as, maybe, battle? As in, there’s a reason for that…
I hope no one at Apple farts during the broadcast or the shorts may take it as a sign to sell.
