Well, that should take care of that dumb ass rumor that Leopard was going to be postponed until October for a Vista able boot camp…
Wait!? I thought Leopard was delayed due to this issue.?! Yeah… Right..
MDN magic word “steps” as in what ridiculous steps will analysts take to try and drive down APPL stock.. shame shame.
D.
How exciting! Now, if I only knew ANYBODY that actually owned Vista….
AHAHAHAHAH!!
Apple gives a big F-U to the morons propogating the BS “Leopard delayed for Vista support” rumors.
Great. Now I can finally buy Vista.
This is the day I’ve been dreaming about since I started taking narcotic cough formula 12 times a day.
>Great. Now I can finally buy Vista..
There are many more sane things to buy with one’s money.
Lipstick on a pig would be OS X on a Dell.
What is Vista on a Mac?
Rags on a hot babe?
wouldn’t it be ironic if sales of Vista dramatically rose due to Apple Boot Camp support? lol… can’t wait to read those articles
New drivers? System Tray Icons? Why does Apple bother to make the Windows user experience better than it has to be? I can understand providing minimal Windoze functionality so the boxes can act as a trojan horse to get Apple inside the corporate environment, but this makes it seem like they’re selling hardware to run Vista as the primary OS. Or is it just in their culture to make everything as good as it can be?
“This is the day I’ve been dreaming about since I started taking narcotic cough formula 12 times a day.”
Funniest thing I’ve read on MDN in ages. Even more so because of “ron”‘s comically misreading your sarcasm.
Leopard was never delayed in the first place.
Can’t wait to try out this latest version of boot camp.
Big Al,
Lipstick on a pig is still ugly and tasteless.
Rags on a hot babe? Admit it — that’s hot.
I guess that kinda means Leopard is on schedule!
I was all set to buy 20 copies of Vista to give away as April Fool’s gifts to my Windows-using friends, but I offered Microsoft a fair price (twenty bucks for the lot) and they turned me down!
@Famous Grouse
Apple is working to provide a better Windows experence than other PC makers. The better Windows runs on a Mac the better the users experence of it. Personally I think they should offer Windows as an option on their computers if they could some how get away with having to do support for it.
•Apple Software Update (for Windows XP and Vista)”..
huh ??? that doesnt sound right
Apple hedging their hardware bets?
They can pry Mac OS X out of my cold dead hands.
I saw a sign on a pc store today ..
It read … “Scared of Vista? Dual Boot System – XP and Vista available here!”
Digitimes should issue a retraction but that’ll happen the same day Ballmer stops flinging poo.
Big Al
I would say….
with missing front teeth on Angelina Jolie
To “Oh My”:
Windows users who download iTunes and quicktime get an Apple software update application.
I imagine under bootcamp this will allow Apple delivered driver updates, iTunes updates, etc.
@ Buster,
Those lips and no teeth?
That’s hot.
I guess we can put that disgusting “Leopard is delayed” rumor to bed.
Note to analysts: Apple would never let MS be a cause of a delay in their OS. When Apple sees a problem, it gets fixed and fixed quickly. No need to follow the delay-centric mentality with MS for Apple. Apple does their job and they do it right (minus a few patches here and there but who’s perfect?).
if anyone cares, this is a good update. you can use the apple remote now with winxp and it didn’t fuck everything up – i can still get on the net and everything still works.
Vista is everything that every Windows user has EVER bitched about Mac OS X.
eye candy
expensive
requires too much computer and is slow
doesn’t look like a professional OS because its all colorful and crap.
