  1. Man… has Apple been really tight lipped recently, or are there no new products in the pipeline? Solid rumors have been few and far between. I’m getting bored… lol Seems like most the news on this site has to do with Vista, nowadays. Ah well, I’ll keep sittin’ tight.

  2. In the article it states:- “Reliable sources tell us there are rumors that BMW will be the first to announce full integration of the iPhone features into the next 7-Series.”

The ‘reliable sources’ are only claiming there are ‘rumors’ about this.

All we need now are ‘reliable sources’ claiming that the ‘rumors’ are correct.

  3. BMW would do well to have Apple design a new UI for their iDrive computer. It blows. How about the rumor that BMW’s next generation 7 Series will be the first to use OS X for onboard control and computer functions with iPhone integrration. Now that would make me sit up and take notice.

  4. BMW was first with iPod integration in that you could plug the iPod in directly to the vehicle’s stereo. You still had to control the iPod with the iPod controls

Mercedes Benz was the first with full integration where the iPod display appeared on the dash and you controlled the iPod with the steering wheel controls.

I haven’t turned on FM radio since I got my Mercedes with the iPod kit a year and a half ago.

  5. This is more important than you might think. BMW is expecting the iPhone to be as ubiquitous as the iPod — and I think they are right. This confidence will help that become a reality. The key to the iPhone that nobody has been mentioning is that is plugs into all the aftermarket iPod stuff. This is a really sweet deal for everyone who owns an iPod.
