Mac sales growth up 31% in France, outpaces PC industry average 5.3% growth

“In Q4 06, Apple market share in France was 3.3%, up from 2.6% in Q4 05. This is the best performance in France for Apple since Q1 2002,” MacGenration reports.

MacGenration reports, “Mac sales were up 31% over the previous quarter. As in the US, the Mac is growing faster than the Market. Average growth of the PC industry in France is 5.3%. Apple has strong results in France, better than the average in Europe. Apple Market Share in EMEA Market (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) during Q4/06 was only 2.1%.”

“France’s top Mac sellers are Mac notebook sales grew up 67%,” MacGenration reports. “For the entire year 2006, Apple accounted for 2.9% of the market in France.”

  1. And yet not a single Mac-related announcement from Apple in 2007. All rumors and speculation. Waiting is not easy, even if the news down the road makes it worth it. I want to spend from freaking money NOW!!!!

    Yeah so we can be exposed to drive-by shootings, people bitching that they thought a baguette was actually a cheese burger, squalling kids, plastic table tops and a wonderful view of the Denny’s and Arby’s across the street.

  3. I’m moving to France for the summer, and taking my trusty TiBook 550.

    France is awesome, and far more balanced that American lifestyles.

    And, with this statistical tidbit, apparently they are smarter than Windows users,as well.

    Vive la France! Pass that wine and stinky cheese, Francois!
