Apple debuted a new television ad for their “Get a Mac” campaign called “Surgery” in which John Hodgman’s “PC” prepares to upgrade to Microsoft’s Windows Vista.
Dressed in a hospital gown, “PC” tells Justin Long’s “Mac” that he “gets nervous” about such “major surgery.”
See it here.
Apple also posted two new ads for iPod featuring “Flathead” by The Fratellis.
See them here.
I got yer peripheral right here!
That would be a bad one!
Specially coming from a PC! Uff…!
They need to stop these commercials. The campaign is old and stale now, and it’s time to move on.
That iPod company makes computers!? Since when?
The next ad will be the PC post-Vista. He will be dressed similar to the Mac but not quite.
Mac vs PC, cute.
iPod travesty, sad commentary.

Where’s ZuneTang?
MW=method i.e. there is a ‘method’ to the madness!
Good ad.
It’s true, upgrading to Vista will be a major deal for typical Windows users who have been running an XP box for a few years.
Of course, typical Mac users who have been using the same computer for a few years might have an interesting time with Leopard, since it might not run ideally on a 1.25Ghz G4 iMac with 512MB RAM (typical Mac from 3 years ago).
Leopard will probably run better than Vista on similarly aged hardware.
