RUMOR: Three new iPods on Apple roadmap for 2007

“As it stands, Apple Computer hopes to introduce three new iPod models during the 2007 calendar year,” Kasper Jade reports for AppleInsider.

“First and foremost is said to be a video-centric model that will either replace or supplement the aging fifth-generation iPod, though details of the two other models are unclear at this point,” Jade reports. “Still, it could be some time before this much rumored “true video iPod” makes its debut, if at all.”

  1. As another shareholder, I’m glad that – if real – these products will be released after the holidays, thereby allowing Apple to ramp up production and avoid any embarrassing supply shortages.

  2. THIS JUST IN: APPLE WILL EVENTUALLY RELEASE A NEW PRO LINE LAPTOP, PRO LINE DESKTOP, HOME LINE COMPUTER, NEW IPOD, NEW CINEMA DISPLAY.

uhhh duhhhhh. this reporter is obviously lacking in originality, and any REAL INFORMATION.

  3. Caspar Jade and his ilk deal in smoke and vaporware. They make their living perpetuating unfounded rumors, and write for the controversy that will surely follow, along with the hits to their web site.

The rumor sites bring nothing but controversy to the table. They have never written anything that benefitted Apple, Apple users or AAPL investors.

    How do you spell “WHORE”? J, A, D, E.

  4. reading this kills me…
just when i’m ready to finally upgrade my ipod (4G 20GB) i feel i have to wait a little longer…although watch, with my luck those models won’t be released until the ’07 holiday season. hehh.

MW large as in, 2007 is such a large time frame. can’t they be any more specific?

  5. My iPod dates back to Sep 2004 (my main), it’s a 4G 40 GB, and it will only be replaced by a new 6G Video model. Period. Hope they’ll release it soon. Who thinks there’s gonna be a new model at MWSF?
