Apple has released X11 Update 2006 1.1.3 which addresses several issues in the X11 for Mac OS X package, enabling it to better handle:
– GLX stereo visuals
– offscreen rendering to GLX Pbuffers and Pixmaps
To tell X11 to take advantage of stereo visuals, enter:
$ defaults write com.apple.x11 enable_stereo -bool true
This update also addresses font issues present in X11 1.1.2, and is recommended for all users.
System Requirements:
• Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later
• X11 1.1, 1.1.1, or 1.1.2

Now maybe I can export some of the displays from work to home.
Did anyone notice that the download rates for the X11 & Firmware update were horrendously fast? We’re talking abnormally and “think different”ly fast.
And did anyone notice the extreme crap that is Zune? It’s so amazingly astounding that anyone would even consider purchasing one of these raging trash bags for everyday use. They’re so sickenly inferior that any person who buys one should also be given an “I’m a certified retard” sticker.
Microsofties get Zune.
We get an X11 update… Whee!
Yes Speedy – I did the iMac firmware update & it downloaded sooo fast!
I’m going to get the X11 update now, and I’ll see how quick that is…
Nah… slow. Took about 3 minutes for 51 MB.
The 6 MB firmware update must have taken about 5 seconds – fastest thing I’ve ever seen on this connection. Interesting.
A couple of days ago I had a REALLY (abnormal) fast song download from the itunes store…
I’m really glad to see continued development with X-11 in the form of this update. Keep up the good work, Apple! Thanks.
