“Apple Computer this week delivered to developers Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard build 9A303, the latest in an extremely limited series of pre-release builds of its next-generation operating system,” AppleInsider reports.
AppleInsider reports, “People familiar with the new distribution of the software, labeled Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard build 9A303, say one of its primary objectives of the release is to knock out several ‘performance related bugs’ that were present in build 9A283.”
“The latest build, those same people say, also reduces hangs in the Mac OS X Leopard Finder caused by a network connectivity issue and delivers several performance enhancements to the initial version of Time Machine,” AppleInsider reports.
AppleInsider reports, “Apple has maintained that it will be ready to release Leopard sometime during the first half of 2007.”

hmmm, Leopard in time for Mac Expo?
That’s good
It’s always been ready!!! I’ll bet they are waiting to go head to head with Vista, or XP version X.

I bet Steve shows all at mac expo, but it won’t launch then. Apple will want to draw out the launch so they can do the typical countdown clocks, midnight store openings, etc. Free hype/publicity for Apple
I can hear Steve now….

I’d lie down money that the version of Vista just shipped to the OEM’s carry 33% more bugs than this version of Leopard… ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
But what is the secret stuff?
I agree with J. They will definitely want to build up the anticipation.
Yea i still wanna know what steve was holding back on telling us in August. There’s gonna be some features thats just gonna blow us away, and make Mirco$oft poop their pants. And believe me, its not fun when you poop your pants. =(
MW: Wait…as in ‘I can’t WAIT until Jan!!’
Announced at MWSF, delivered February 6th, 2007 – giving Vista just about one week to feel the love and reviewers a whole week to feel the burn. Will the derogatory comparisons need a whole week to surface?
Taking bets … will the Windows mavens stop saying “Vista, a worthy upgrade” and begin saying “Vista, a good reason to switch to Macintosh” before or after the 13th?

Yes … I’m just. plain mean. Got a problem with that?
I’m with DLMeyer!! 😀
The secret stuff better be really good. It’ll be anti-climatic if the best stuff was already shown at WWDC.
Sigh. Spring 2007, people. Believe it.
