If it’s from Rogue Amoeba, it’s probably very good. They make good stuff and do business right.
I’m not sure this is worth the price. I can do most everything this program does in GarageBand, and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t affect the audio quality at all.
If this app was cheaper I would purchase it, but even for $18 (I own Audio Hijack Pro) it seems a bit expensive. The metadata editing is a nice feature though.
Shame you can’t loop playback…

Tommy Boy, I’m not sure when the feature first appeared, but I’m pretty sure it was there from the beginning. Currently it is very easy to edit MP3s, Apple Lossless files, etc. with GarageBand. Simply click on the media browser (the button in the bottom right of the window), and drag an audio file into the mixer. This doesn’t work for music with DRM, though.

It’s not too shabby either….
Cacophony is another pretty good basic editor. Apart from a nag screen it’s fully functional. SndSampler for OSX is worth checking out to.
