More new Apple “Get a Mac” ads – one featuring Gisele Bündchen – seen in Apple Retail Store

“I wasn’t able to get the videos themselves, but some great screen shots of 3 upcoming ads in Apple’s ‘Get a Mac’ campaign,” Nick Starr reports.

Starr reports, “One of the ads even features a cross-dresser. There was no volume so I wasn’t able to hear what was being said, but I think there was a mention to a girlfriend.”

“The second one features the ‘Mac guy’ in a suit. The PC ends up on the floor in this one,” Starr reports. “Last, there seems to be some anomisity [sic] between the two and they go to therapy to resolve their issues.”

“I’m sure these ads will be out soon,” Starr writes.

Not that Starr is wrong, but the possibility does exist that Apple has some ads designed to run only in Apple Retail Stores and not on television. Now, because we’ve written that, Apple will probably post these ads online via QuickTime this afternoon and start airing them nationwide on the major U.S. TV networks tonight.

We believe that’s Gisele Bündchen playing the Mac’s girlfriend (possibly as the embodiment of Mac OS X vs. the disgustingly bad imitation that is Windows, as “Andy C.” theorizes below). Back in May, Brazilian-model Bündchen reported via her official website that she had “recently posed for Apple Computer, Inc. to represent their Macintosh computer line,” so that report would now make sense if that is indeed Ms. Bündchen seen in the video stills. 1. Again with calling people “unhealthy” because they’re thin? You people are really out of touch with reality. Virtually everyone you see walking the streets of the USA is OVERWEIGHT, folks. Gisele Bündchen might be a little underweight, but she certainly doesn’t look unhealthily thin.

  2. dennis … you are semi-right. Too many Americans are ‘overweight’. Then there’s the comment about a little underweight, but she certainly doesn’t look unhealthily thin. Well, that’s just wrong.

There’s this mind-knumbingly pathetic mantra some health nuts are on about – Body Mass Index. If your weight is above some magic number – doesn’t matter if you are ‘giggling fat’ or solid as a brick, you are ‘overweight’ or ‘obese’. Anyway, a check of the actual health records of a couple hundred folks in each of the four categories found that it was the ‘overweight’ people who were the healthiest. The ‘normal’ folk were next in line, then the ‘obese’ folk, finally the ‘underweight’ folk. And we are not talking about tiny differences. She’s health-endangeringly thin. Might be too thin to menstruate … did you know that was even possible?
