MacUpdate announces daily discounted software

MacUpdate today announced the launch of a new program called the MacUpdate Promo. Every weekday, MacUpdate will feature a new software title on the front page sidebar, giving Macintosh users the opportunity to purchase that title at a steep discount. For example, today users can purchase iClip at a 40% discount. This is a great deal because you will receive a free upgrade to the highly anticipated version 4.0 release, which will cost considerably more than $12.

Each promo will run for only 24-hours, starting at midnight (EDT). “We’re really excited about the software titles scheduled to participate in the promo launch. Developers are working with us to offer big discounts on some of the highest rated, award winning Mac software. The promo helps connect users to developers in a win-win situation,” states Joel Mueller of MacUpdate in the press release.

To take part in the daily software promotions, create a free MacUpdate Member account and click on the Promo sidebar banner on the right sidebar of the front page.

“We’ve worked really hard at making the process seamless and simple for people buying at big discounts. After purchasing a promo, users will receive a serial number registration within seconds for most of the participating titles. “We think it’s really important that users have the immediacy of using their registered software right after securely buying it,” states Mueller.

  1. Pretty much the exact same thing as MaxZot, but the plus side would be that we now have TWO opportunities a day for great deals like this.

MacZot did the iClip promo a few weeks back, hopefully this doesn’t mean that it’ll pretty much be the same software that MacZot offers.

That blows MacZOT out of the water.

The wait process killed ZOT for me…I wasn’t sure what was happening or when it might happen, despite reading the “rules”…

…although the “for most” part is worrying…
