MacDailyNews will feature live coverage of Apple’s WWDC Keynote presentation by Steve Jobs. Live updates will be available via a special text-only “lite” page here:
http://www.macdailynews.com/wwdc_2006_keynote.html
Shortly before the presentation, the MacDailyNews home page will redirect to the WWDC coverage page in order to help minimize server load. Shortly after the presentation, MacDailyNews will return as normal.
As with Macworld Expo and WWDC keynotes in the recent past, Apple will not be providing a real-time webcast or satellite broadcast. It is expected that Apple will post a QuickTime of Jobs’ keynote on their web site later today as the company does usually.
See you today at 10:00am PDT / 1:00pm EDT / 5:00pm GMT

First
I hope we get all the usual bitchy – anti MS diatribe… In realtime.
It will make it well worth the visit.
The Apple-ications will be Mac-hanical and Pod-estrian–NOT! Apple-ause.
MW–wrong—how do it know?
i see MDN is a firm believer in the old “if at first you don’t succeed” principle.
Good luck.

http://www.applenews.info also will have live coverage
http://www.appleinsider.com has coverage too.
This is all so exciting !!
Fast live coverage will be at http://www.applematters.com/ as well.
I think I’ll just open all of the locations, and use Exposé (F10) to see which ones update the fastest and most frequently.
It must really suck working at Microsoft today, especially those working on the Vista-Dinosaur project. I wonder how many of their 9,000 programmers will have one of these update sites on a tiny li’l IE window, hiding under their project window.
in iChat go to “WWDC” to chat. There is usually someone at the event there. Any other good chat groups with live updates?
Thanks MDN.
I’m going to try something a little different though. I’m going to avoid news and Apple related sites starting about 12:30 PM EDT and will (TRY) not to log on until I get home this evening in order to watch a QT stream of the keynote address. (Unfortunately I’ll see some things here and there before the QT stream – especially if going through Apple’s web site.)
Seeing how I am a consumer, don’t have the vacation time, or funds to travel across the country to attend a WWDC – my trial approach above is the best I can do to “experience” a keynote address.
Peace.
In other news,
“The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs” is down as of today. I guess Apple Legal had a surprise or two of their own for the big day.
About 30 people on iChat “wwdc” room.
Yeah, I think this year I, too, will avoid all news/mac sites until the stream is up.
It’s not as exciting to get fortune cookie-like summaries (although everyone’s effort is appreciated).
I NEED MY RDF
I really must get my own Apple News site!
M di L Buonarroti — you’re probably just as qualified to run a Mac site as most of the ones up and running already. Now you just need to work on your rumour fabrication technique.
UK Applestore is offline.
Mike, you forgot Bangkok…
“UK Applestore is offline.”
OMG! That must mean that Apple is moving to Ireland!
USA Apple store is down too.
Ampar: Apple’s European headquarters is in Cork, Ireland, along with 1/3 of all their phone support.

The Mac Pros are here! The Mac Pros are here! The Mac…
Wait a minute… Is Adobe behind on Creative Suite? They suck.
Thanks, Apple for doing a great job to get Leopard to the masses. Thanks, Adobe, for nothing.
