Apple’s Mac Pro photos (inside and out)

“Well, keynote’s over, which means we got to go take a look at what Apple introduced today. We didn’t see much going on in terms of the operating system, but they did have a couple of Mac Pros on display for us to handle and smudge. Guess all that talk about a radically redesigned tower system isn’t going to be, but hey, if you’re down with the cheese grater then this is the machine for you. Dual drives, quad processors, loads more ports, plenty of video options,” Ryan Block writes for Engadget.

Many photos here.

  1. My kids have a microsoft machine (for school work) and it has just crashed . . . fantastic. Call out the microman, that’s another fifty quid added on to the total cost. Buy a Mac and we all get a free iPod coz we don’t need to feed the IT people. The world will get there eventually. Evolution takes time, Apple will take 24 months.

  2. Some of this bullcrap is living proof that diehard Windows fanboys are the product of what happens when close relatives marry.

On a serious note, the exteriors of these machines may be nothing revolutionary – but the interior industrial design, in particular the drive bays, are truly beautiful.

Of course, the Windell fanboys will prefer to keep playing with screws and multiple cable connectors – but then they believe that maintaining their Imagination Not Included™ systems is an end in itself, whereas Macintosh users prefer to get on and do some work.

  3. Relax everyone.
The trolls are here because they are scared. They know they made a huge mistake by picking inferior hardware and software. They know full well that MS is on a long slow slide downhill and they just can’t deal with it. As more Windows “lovers” defect, and those numbers will continue to increase over the next few years, even these children will realize that they will need to do the right thing, the smart thing, and jump off the MS Windows trainwreck.

  4. I like that they stayed with basically the same enclosure. I think the aluminum enclosures are cool – I like that industrial look.

MDN? Can we skip all the benchmark stories that are going to come out? Didn’t think so. Oh well. . .

  5. Natural Selection,

‘sony creates the best OS & hardware to go with it in japan’

When did Sony write an Operating System for a PC?

Sony’s top of the line hardware doesn’t suck but the rest of their stuff is junk.

Sony’s OS for their PS3 is the reason the PS3 was delayed so I know you’re not talking about that vaporware.

  6. Just amazing how many windowcrap users are here….please crawl back into your shithole and leave us alone, dumb-asses. A lot of pooha and mindfarts from emptyheaded retards…..

    arrgghh….

PS: Sorry had to get this off my chest….too much nonsense from people who have NO idea at all…..

  7. Hurrah for the Mac Pro! I love my G5 dualie but I lust after the Pac Pro! The 2 optical drives are what I wanted in the G5: glad to see them. My next computer will be a Mac Pro running Leopard (sorry Apple, can’t buy sooner).
