Zune already shedding features? ‘iPod killer’ won’t offer video at launch

“Bloomberg TV says that the New York Post is now reporting that Microsoft is delaying the video portion of its Zune device which is to take on the ubiquitous Apple iPod,” Neo reports for Macsimum News.

“With the news of Zune not having video features at launch, you could already begin laughing at what the media had prematurely labeled as Microsoft’s iPod-Killer. It’s vaporware, all over again,” Neo writes.

  1. H.264 is one of the 3 codecs defined by MPEG-4. It is the most powerful and achieves double the compression of the next best MPEG-4 codec.

    Envivio was one of the companies that helped define MPEG-4 so we know this shit.

    MPEG-4 Part 2 (advanced simple profile)
    MPEG-4 Part 10 (H.264, AKA Advanced Video Codec AVC)
