  1. You know, it looks a whole lot like last year’s. I smell Photoshop…

    “Moscine Center? don’t they hold it at Moscone center?”

    Ah, you caught the subtlety, Ed. This is actually a banner from Microsoft’s AWDC (Around the World Developer Conference) and they are showing all of the new and shiny features of Vista.

  2. I think one of the keys is the “you’ve come to the right platform” line. Apple will frequently put things blantantly out in the open, but it won’t be obvious until after the fact (think back to some of those invitations sent out to the media for product announcement events). I think the “platform” line is referencing what we saw on the YouTube videos – a mobile OS X. It has been rumored for sometime and just makes sense. They might start off with a mobile version of Safari first.
