  1. 35 Million sold? How the heck is Microsoft, or any other company, going to compete with those stats. No matter how you look at it, Apple has won big time. And TV is much, much bigger (revenue wise) than music. The implications of the iPod are so far-reaching that it’s not hard to conceive of a day when Apple is posting $2 to $3 billion dollar profits per quarter. Think I’m crazy? I’ve been following their stock very closely since 1997 and everything seems to lead to a scenario much bigger than Microsoft’s greatest act. I remember when Steve Jobs was on CNBC talking to Maria Bartaromo and she was flaming him and Apple about their $8 million dollar loss – the look on his face, as well as his terse responses, spoke volumes. Here was a guy who wasn’t going to stop until everyone realized he was #1. And he’s doing it.

  2. Nuclear Kid. No matter how you look at it, 35 Millions (movies) in nothing to compared to 1.3 billions (music) –> my estimation (Based on 1B on 23 Feb 2006 + 5 months at 60M/month).

It’s very early in the game and nothing is sure for Apple. They need to come up with some sort of subsciption model or it won’t take off.

  3. But by Christmas, Apple will have sold close to 100 million videos. That’s a huge infrastructure in place that has been proven to work awfully well. And each quarter, millions of video capable iPods are being sold. I just don’t see how Microsoft, or anyone else, could possibly pose a threat. In 12 months from now, with all the additional video iPods sold, we could be talking hundreds of millions of videos sold. No one has the branding awareness, or awesome products, that Apple has. Each of those take a long time to develop.

  4. Paris Hilton showed every nook and cranny in her ex’s video “one night in paris”.

she was very talented for a 19 yr old. hopefully, she’ll do a sequel & sell it on iTunes.

as for the other stuff she’s selling, “there’s one born every minute”
