Newsmagazine “Spiegel-Online” (Spiegel Magazine) reports the arrival of Parallels Desktop for Mac software and explores the possibilities of working with Mac OS X and Windows on Intel-powered Macs without re-booting.
This is a great bit of publicity for Apple Computer in Germany and Europe.

This is the first relatively positive article about Mac on Spiegel for ages. They usually do a lot of rather uninformed (to say it nicely) Mac-bashing. Let´s hope they slowly change their attitude.
The only thing I night run Windows for is for 3D games.
Everything else just runs better on a Mac, even M$ software on a Mac is bad and exploitable.
My favorite place to shop is Whole Foods.
Delicious foods.
it would have been funnier if it was tolerant of spelling errors and turned it into the boat struggle.
I think the German version made more sense to me and I dont read German. LOL
Paralles is perfect for websites that require IE. It’s also great for web developers who need to ensure IE compatibility.
You can also use Parallels to listen to WMA files or watch WMV videos.
I’ve noticed that Firefox works slightly better in Parallels/Windows than it does running natively in Mac OS X. Firefox is not well optimized at all for Mac. Load up pretty much any big web page (like http://www.tomshardware.com) and notice how choppy the page scrolls in Firefox in Mac OS X. It’s a bit faster in Parallels/Windows, and it’s massively faster booted natively into Windows XP via boot camp. I was trying out Google’s online spreadsheet application, and it worked much better in Firefox under Parallels/Windows than in Mac OS X. It’s not supported in Safari yet.
Firefox is so incredibly snappy when I boot natively into Windows on my MacBook Pro – it even makes Safari feel a tad sluggish in some cases. I can scroll heavy pages as though I was scrolling a plain text document in TextEdit. Maybe it’s a DirectX thing – I don’t know, but it’s kind of freaky.
Using Parallels right now to make a Linux From Scratch system. Been meaning to do this for years.
Ze German version is alvays ze more EFFICIENT!!
