Belkin Corporation announces TuneStage for iPod nano, a device that allows you to play the music from your iPod nano through your home stereo wirelessly via Bluetooth technology. With a transmitter connected to your iPod nano and a receiver wired to your system, TuneStage offers reliable, high-quality sound without the clutter of cables. Wirelessly connected through TuneStage, your iPod nano becomes the ultimate remote, giving you full control of your music.
Retailing for US$179.99, TuneStage for iPod nano will ship in North America in July 2006, with launches in Asia, Europe, and Australia to follow. It will also be on display at the Home Entertainment Show 2006 in Los Angeles, June 1-4, in Suite 201.
Using advanced Bluetooth v1.2 technology, TuneStage can transmit from up to 33 feet(b) away from your stereo, through your home entertainment cabinet, or even from another room. Your music keeps playing without the direct line-of-sight restriction imposed by other wireless remotes. The receiver connects via RCA or 3.5mm outputs to your home stereo system.
Since the unit draws power directly from the iPod nano, it needs no batteries. A mini-USB port under the transmitter offers the added convenience of charging your device while in use.

What a waste of money it would be to buy one of these. Completely overpriced! Whose gonna buy a transmitter that costs nearly as much as a nano. Plus, most songs on Nano’s are ripped at 128kbs because of the smaller storage space and if you have a halfway decent stereo you’ll know it. Why not pick up an Airport with Airtunes and stream music from your mac – less expensive and you can store higher quality mp4’s on your hard drive.
