MacDailyNews Take: Apple’s legal department are probably quite interested in this one. You just have to love that one of the thing’s names is “PowerPC G6 Macintosh” and inside it has a “Intel Pentium4 3.8GHz SSE3 Prescott 64-bit PowerPC-G6 Processor” — whatever that is.

  1. ed,
Read it again. It’s babble. A prank. A spoof. Apple legal will not get involved past attempting to figure out which Attorney General to contact – should the perps manage to scam someone into sending them a check.

  2. I worked with a guy who once bought a really nice VCR for his company office from two guys on the street in uptown Chicago. He took it inside and opened the brand new box to find a couple of bricks and some newspaper.

Wouldn’t be suprised if this Alibaba joint was run by the same two guys.

  3. Incredible that someone would actually buy something out of a store called AliBaba!!!! … expect no refund on that one…. and sure… its TOTALLY SAFE to give out your credit card info!

  4. Anyone notice that it comes with Office 2004 and Photoshop? I’m sure Microsloth and Adobe’s legal departments would also find this of interest.

The generic case is as authentic to Apple design as slapping BMW M5 badging on a Ford Taurus.
