Troll Touch announces touchscreen solution for Apple Intel Core Duo iMacs

Troll Touch, the Valencia, CA. custom touchscreen system provider has announced the immediate availability of the company’s internally integrated touch solution for both the 17- and 20-inch Apple Intel Duo Core iMacs. Troll Touch customers can purchase complete touch-enabled machines directly from the company or supply their own previously purchased machines for touch-enabling.

According to Troll Touch, the all-in-one iMacs have proven to be quite popular as countertop kiosks, point of sale terminals, for multimedia presentations and other applications where direct tactile interaction is preferable to maneuvering a mouse or other input device.

Touchscreen conversion turnaround time is currently 10-15 business days. Integration of the company’s custom designed touch components is accomplished at Troll Touch’s Valencia, CA. facilities.

Troll Touch seamlessly integrates its PSR-1 touch technology on a variety of Apple Macintosh models including the iMac, eMac, iBook laptops and the Apple Cinema displays. The company’s touchscreen technology operates with any non-sharp pointing device, such as a stylus, fingertip or gloved hand.

Troll Touch, an Apple Scientific/Technical VAR and PSP, has been performing Apple platform touchscreen conversions since the days of the Macintosh Classic.

  1. Actually, this is very cool. I saw something like this (it may have been the same company’s product) at the Essex Museum in Salem, MA. In one of the galleries there was an iMac G5 with a really great flash based interactive presentation running. The Mac was there without a keyboard or mouse and you just lightly touched the screen to move around in the presentation. Very slick.
