That’s great news, but what is going on with the Apple stock. With all the good press they have been getting, what’s going on.

Jack, I think you’re going to have to ride this stock pain for maybe the rest of this year. Everyone will want to see Apple’s next report which is coming up soon, but since they’re not expected to blow away any analyst numbers, the price could actually drop further.
I think we’ll need to see another knockout product release (true video iPod) and further announcements of accelerated Intel transitions in order for the stock price to climb again. But I think that reports of increasing market share numbers would truly set the share price on fire again.
When fall rolls around, and all Macs are on Intel, and a video iPod or similar is available, and Christmas buying season starts up again, well … I think you’l start to see things improve swiftly.
Couple this with Microsoft’s horrible problems of late and I think the stage is set for some good returns over the course of the next year.

Yeah, but I’m still waiting for the Big 2 on my machine — Photoshop Elements and The Sims 2. Sims 2 is due out practically any day (according to the Aspyr newsletter), but with PE 4.0 just out, I’m afraid I may have to wait till 5.0 comes out in a couple more years…unless I decide that waiting for Photomerge to put together my panoramas just means I have more time to waste on the Web…
Stock prices suffer from the “Yeah, but…” mentality of most analysts. (And not to be crude, but notice the word “anal”?) No matter how good the news is, they’re waiting for the other shoe to drop…in their world, there’s always a catch.
The most perverse place on Earth has to be Wall Street. Stocks move up on bad news (layoffs) and down on good news (new products). It’s why I’m leaving my money in a nice safe share certificate at the credit union — sure, I’m not going to make a million bucks, but there’ll be enough money when the spouse retires in 8 years that we’ll be able to live comfortably on that and his pension. (Thanks to his union, there WILL be a pension!)
If you want fast returns on your money, sell your stock and head for the poker tables at Bellagio — you might have a better shot at the big kill…

If you are seriously worried about your AAPL stock put in a stop loss with your broker. Set the bar pretty low like $45/share. That way you’ll at least should have doubled your money on AAPL. Personally, I see this stock price depression as an excellent buying opportunity. Just my theory.

Hmmmm, I was actually using the ol’ hat rack to think with for a change, and I noticed Final Cut Studio Universal is due March 2006. So is Apple’s Anniversary (April 1st). With less than a week left, I believe it’s highly likely Apple may introduce a new super powerful Final Cut Studio 6 and totally destroy all non-believers. Just my opinion, … now back to using this melon to hold my hat up.
