Microsoft Windows Vista, Bill Gates keynote video spoof debuts online

“Earlier this week, Bill Gates gave the Keynote Address at CES. In an effort to gear people up for the gadget wizardry they were about to experience on the show floor, Bill touted the revolutionary new features of the upcoming Windows Vista. Baring any further setbacks, Vista is scheduled to be released near the end of 2006,” MacLive.net writes. “Any Mac users who watched the Keynote were likely unimpressed. This must have been the case with the user who created the following video. Is Vista unique in all of its first of a kind features? You decide.”

The video has been on and off and on again over at MacLive, so we’ve added a secondary link for the video:

  1. Very, very funny. What’s sad though, is that it’s probably mostly true. Winblows has so far to catch up to Mac that all they can do is rip off the best features and try to pass them off to their ignorant users as their own. I bet if you showed this to a clueless Winblows user and told them it was a real preview of Vista they would wet themselves with excitment. Then when you the news that it was actually Tiger they’d probably run out and buy a Mac.

  2. I have to say, if there is one thing about Vista I like, it’s the translucent window borders as opposed to brushed metal.

At least they are finally adding some eye candy, even if does look like an OSX skin.

  3. It’s so funny that Windows has 95 percent of the market. Virus and all. And what’s even funnier, that when Vista comes out, people will be standing in line at “midnight” to get their copy from CompUSA.

  4. Bill sounded breathless, too fast…

“I’m just not enjoying this… let me outta here… “

Tough making a presentation like that using words like ‘fresh’ and ‘new’ etc when you know your competitor has done it all before you…

  5. Yes, very funny…and still Apple does nothing to show off OSX nothing at all. OSX is all that and more but if I wasn’t a Mac user would I even know? Very frustrating!!!!

  6. Brilliant ! Kudos !

I can also envision a side bar image showing Steve Job’s reaction to each of these features. Ah, alas, I am not a graphics or video artiste.

  7. That wasn’t Bill Gates giving that presentation, it was the Windows Vista project manager, whatever his name is. Some drone Bill put on stage so everyone could laugh at him if anything crashed.

  8. Very funny.

Wonder if the original source video is copyrighted, or if this constitutes “fair use”?

And to the poster named “Microsoft”: ain’t that the truth!

  9. quick someone run the spoof over to the SNL people and get em to spoof it, ah but that won’t heppy, but it would be really funny if it did, it would certainly get more people that don’t read “news” to know about it
