Apple adds Pixar movie short ‘Knick Knack’ to USA iTunes Music Store

Apple has added a new Pixar short, “Knick Knack,” to the USA iTunes Music Store.

Life on a shelf as a snowman trapped in a snow-globe blizzard can become wearing, especially when you’re surrounded by knickknacks from sunnier locales. When the jaded snowman finally breaks free of his glass house, his vacation plans are cut short.

Pixar’s “Knick Knack” on Apple’s iTunes Music Store. $1.99.

  1. CDN Guy: I hear you, and don’t forget about the Ft. Lauderdale paperweight girl too! I have the 35mm film version of the original Knick Knack. It was shown years ago as a paid commercial for Asüna, a now non-existant car brand. They showed the video, then a text slide faded in with the message “The preceding short was brought to you by… Asüna”

I used to work for a Toronto area movie theatre and went back to visit the projectionist years later and he gave it to me when I noticed it on a shelf. That was before Toy Story and before Pixar was a household brand name.

I should put it on eBay, it might be worth something…

  2. I saw Knick Knack at Siggraph the year that it came out. It was in 3D, and when I say 3D I mean with glasses to make it look 3D (not just created as 3D animation). Most of the films shown that year were presented that way and it was really cool.

I have a video tape with it on with the original girl (with boobs) and it is a lot nicer I think.

  3. why the hell did they shrink her titties? was that part of the Disney contract? “Keep it family-safe or get lost…”
    bastards 🙁
If someone should have the original version as a good plz let me know. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
