Speck Products, which offers the largest collection of iPod cases on the market, today announced nine new iPod nano cases that will be on retail shelves in October. With strong demand anticipated, the company expects to be first to market with the largest assortment of nano cases, in a variety of colors, textures and shapes, some of which can be seen to the left.
“We are confident that we will be first-to-market with the largest collection of iPod nano cases available,” said Tim Hickman, general manager of Speck Products in the press release. “Rather than reacting to Apple’s new product news last week, we finalized our designs and went into pre-production three weeks ago. As a result, we have a generous head start, with nine unique products in production and the capacity to produce up to 50,000 units per week of selected top sellers.”

Oh yeah. iGumby is the absolute best thing I’ve seen in the iPod accessory line.
THAT, if nothing else, is a reason to upgrade to the nano.

Interesting, to say the least.
Some interesting designs, but I thought skinny was the Nano’s raison d’être? Kinda lost with these cases. Especially the Michelin Tire Man™ version.
Doesn’t adding a big cumbersome case to the nano sort of defeat the purpose of it being ‘nano’?
in typical iPod accessory fashion, they’re all expensive as hell.
That’s my only gripe. Why are Speck’s prices the same for the nano cases as for the full sized iPod cases? They’re less than half the size of those afterall…
Some people have been getting very rich by making cases for iPods.
I really really really don’t want to know the markup on these sorts of things.
The iGuy rules, but the rest are too high considering the “nano” size of them. They should be no more than $15.
I really don’t think the size of a product effects much the cost of running a business and selling goods. Expensive, yes, but what IS a good deal these days??
I want one that looks like a ahh, well, ahhh, you know. Like a ahh wachama callit?

are those cases or sex toys?
MW says “YES”
The ‘Grass’ FunSkin should have been called Phlegm FrenchTickler. Yech.
Why not just use an iCondom. Must cheaper and easily replaced when damaged. Also provides backup in case something else happens!
