MarketWatch has posted video of Apple CEO Steve Jobs’ introduction of the iPod nano and the ROKR iPod phone today.
The new iPod nano today replaced the popular iPod mini. iPod nano is a full-featured MP3 device that is half the size of rivals on the market.
The Motorola ROKR Apple iTunes phone is the world’s first mobile phone with iTunes, enabling music lovers to transfer up to 100 of their favorite songs from the iTunes jukebox on their Mac or PC to their mobile phone.

why isn’t the video quicktime? Wouldn’t this make sense?
what is it with these idiots releasing Apple news with WM or RM?
fercrisake
obviously they won’t adopt QT simply because of a news story about Apple you morons
Marketwatch would have to cater to every tech company every time they did a story about that company??
Cool. The nano looks just tiny (unless it’s because Steve has really big hands)!
So, they gave a hint by showing the smaller jeans pocket in the invitation.. still no one guessed it!
Great!
Pity… Windows Media Player is Windows only for the current version, RealPlayer is crap on any platform, QuickTime works great on Windows and Mac.
I wanna watch the full media event presentation!!! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”mad” style=”border:0;” />
In QT, of course!
Pity… Windows Media Player is Windows only for the current version, RealPlayer is crap on any platform, QuickTime works great on Windows and Mac.
FWIW, WMP is playing AOK on my PowerBook G4/167MHz/OS X 10.4.1.
(quoting myself) FWIW, WMP is playing AOK on my PowerBook G4/167MHz/OS X 10.4.1.
I should add WMP 9.0

Because they don’t need to preach to the choir, kiddies.

uh… i thought that was obvious from the get go.
Nano – great
ROKR – ugly
I know which i’d like for christmas
They should make the video available in QT. All video content should only be available in QT. WM, RP and all others should be declared communist and outlaws. QT is the only true form of video with H.264.
I just have to add: WMP won’t work for me using Panther ( I get an error: Access Denied) Real Player works but….
buffering…..
buffering……
it sucks………. buffering……….. ass.
Why isn’t Apple releasing the video of the SteveNote?! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”angry” style=”border:0;” />
Finally! It’s there!!!
Woo hoo!!

1: Brave soul to download and install Real Software
2: Lucky soul who has SnapZ ProX
3: Play Real based video through.
4: Enable SnapZ ProX and set the Quicktime movie screen record dimensions, start.
5: Play the Real based video again
6: Stop the SnapZ ProX software from recording and save as Quicktime format
7: Upload to website and post a link here
Not hard, come on people!
I would do it but for the fact I have sensitive information on my machine and Real Software is a security risk.
I also thought the hint was sooo obvious…
My prediction was that it would have had a b&w screen and be cheaper than that. But I understand now why it didn’t make sense for them to invest in creating a b&w model, then upgrading it to color 6 months later. The PortalPlayer chip inside the full-size color iPod is now used across the line (except the shuffle) and it’s a good thing.
Did anyone notice in Job’s keynote speech there some new Keynote 3D effects? Are these in the new version of Keynote? or their just built for Steve for his stunning presentation?
