Can Apple CEO Steve Jobs “pull off his bold plan to shake up the company’s fastest-growing and most popular product line? With Wall Street analysts and the media still digesting the details of Apple’s expected unveiling of a an iPod-equipped cell phone, Jobs stunned the crowd at San Francisco’s Moscone Center when he revealed that Apple planned to replace its most popular iPod with a new product just a fraction of its size,” John Shinal reports for MarketWatch.
“For Apple, the stakes couldn’t be higher, as the iPod line comprises Apple’s fastest-selling products by far and now contributes about a third of the company’s revenue,” Shinal reports. “‘This is going to be a pretty hot product,’ said analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, who rates Apple shares ‘outperform.’ ‘It could be Apple’s next home run.'”

The nano reminds me of my ex-husband – way to small.
You’ll never get to Heaven if you’re scared of getting high…
The Nano is very cool indeed.
It took me about three nanoseconds to decide to buy a nano. Should be here by Friday!
“It could be Apple’s next home run”
Stupid Analyst it definitly is Apple’s next home run
Yes, indeed !!!
It could be that Gene Munster has no Brain
could be, can’t be, maybe, maybe not
I hate Analysts
It will be a white (iPod) christmas in Cupertino!
it will kill the competition. They are all dead and buried anyway. Nano is the final bullet in the head — they better leave the field and design toaster. It’s that cool and easy to understand. Your heart gets it, your mind wants it.
Anyone else kicking them selves for their recent iPod perchace? (I got a shuffle but now…)
Wait for tomorrow’s news. Another competitor, if they really are competition, will announce that they are exiting the MP3 market. Just can’t keep up with Apple.
Looks great… less filling!
But, only two colors?
Two colors aren’t enough! They really should add mini-type colors–a LOT of people liked those colors! Though I LOVE the design, the same color scheme that works in Manhattan and London is not enough for everyone else.
don’t worry – they’ll introduce color Nano’s by Christmas time, i’m sure.
Shuffle’s are great…why don’t they have screens and “real” software?
Nano’ enter and now you have full iPod features in the Shuffle’s design.
Tiny color screen with photos. This is training camp for the iPod Video.
Go from this tiny screen to say…one twice the size…you have instant
iPod Video legitimacy. Take it from me…eye adjustment is the intention.

The Nano comes in five colors if you buy the tubes for $29.
From http://www.apple.com:
“Colorful iPod nano Tubes fit like a glove and offer full Click Wheel control from the outside. This set of five includes clear, blue, purple, green and pink.”
sandwich 2 of them together “back-to-back”…then you have 28 hours of

The rest of the world is seeing what we Mac users have been enjoying for years – Apple coming out with one “insanely great” product after another.
Is key. Travel light and always have your music and photos with you.
Having plenty of reminders about things that you like (or dislike) will
always be worth the investment. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />

Nano? WTFDTM? Does the name come from nanotechnology? All I hear on Mac web sites is vapid Mork and Mindy Jokes . . .
I’m guessing that on Winblows sites they’re already making different jokes- ones about Mac users and ‘Nano’ spelled backward- though I believe that it is Gates and his ankle-biters that are the Onanists.
We will see how Apple feels about this name . . .
NOW the world needs to buy into the same concept of Apple brilliance that IS THE MAC!
Come on world – wake up and throw off your Microsoft chains…!
