FolderGlance is a Contextual Menu Items plugin for the Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger’s Finder, which allows you to hierarchically browse the contents of folders in the Finder by right- or control-clicking one or several folders. It comes with a preference panel allowing you to customize the number of levels you can browse, as well as enable or disable display of hidden files.

  1. Whoops – it’s 10.4, right?

Should we be making sure our shameless plugs were factually accurate, so as to avoid reducing consumer confidence in the product?

  2. Its compatiable with both Panther and Tiger. I got it and installed, on the software site it mentions one needs Desktop Transporter as a requirement. I have panther and quite a few other contextual menus and since installing it I haven’t as yet seen anything new in my Contextual Menus. So do I need to install Desktop Transporter as well ?

  3. Sweet. Maybe they can also put together a plug-in that lets me move a file upward in a folder hierarchy without having to switch to Finder’s column view. Or maybe just a plug-in that let’s me Command-X (cut) a file and Command-V (paste) it in another location. That would be grand.

  4. With little tricks like <a href =”http://homepage.mac.com/hogfish/.Public/World Clock.zip”>this (click)</a> aren’t you glad Apple placed some safeguards in?
