iPod Battery 1.1 for Mac OS X: changes iPod’s battery indicator from icon to numeric readout

iPod Battery 1.1 is a small, free, and simple Mac OS X application designed to change your iPod’s battery indicator from an icon to a numeric readout.

“You can change to a numeric representation from 0 to 999, giving a better understanding of battery status,” explains the developer. “The digital number indicator gives a more detailed view of battery status. You can change from analog (a small battery picture on iPod) to digital, or vice-versa.”

  1. I was gonna install this but I then realised that I don’t need it, I charge mine regularly, have never had any problems with it running out quickly etc so why bother? Nice idea though.

  2. Are you guys installing it correctly? What you have to do is create a new folder, and drag the app out of the folder that you downloaded, and into the new folder.

I named the new folder the same as the app, but I’m not sure if it is necessary.

Then, drag the new folder to your iPod. My iPod is in Disk mode at the moment. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

Tried that also – 4G 60GB Photo. No luck! SUCKS! There used to be a version that worked on mine – another programmer though. Stop working when update for ipod came out. I want it back. This does not work!!!
