I am glad to hear that Apple Retail is opening a new store. How about a store in Long Island, New York?

    Say the Green Acres Mall?

Please it would be a great place to open one up, a mini store will do too!

  2. Granted no one has heard of Rochester, NY, but it has a pretty large population if you include the suburbs. Last I heard it was ringing in at over a million people.

  3. Rochester, New York: Kodak Corporate Headquarters, largest U.S. manufacturing facility, Research & Development (R&D) and Corporate Services Office. Approximately 23,000 employees in Rochester.

MDN MW: develop (Wow, that’s good!)

  4. Err… what about another store for New York City?? The SoHo store is swamed with people virtually everyday. This is a city of 8,000,000 – and that’s not counting all the tourists we get year round.

Wasn’t there talk about a mid-town store a while back, whatever happened to that?

Please Steve…. make it soon, OK?

  5. Rochester has the highest number of patents issued per capita in the US (yes, higher than the valley)and is the largest exporting city per capita in the US. World headquarters of Xerox, Kodak and Bausch and Lomb, all of which are in major turnaround mode with, you guessed it, digital imaging as the primary sector.
Lots of engineers are using Macs because of its Unix underpinnings…
Bout timev we got a fricking Apple store- they’ve had one in super-depressed Buffalo for years.

  6. Hey, stop slamming Crotchfester, NY. That’s where I went to college, and most of the few sober memories I have of that depressing, gray, cold and rainy town are of the writing labs and library computer lab filled with compact macs. All my original Mac use happened in lovely Crotchfester.

Of coure a lot of that was playing NFL Challege, with a lot of beer…well, maybe those aren’t sober memories.
