  1. Something is definitely up!

I few days ago I took my 20 GB 4G iPod in to an Apple Store because it was intermittently not scrolling. I thought the Genius would send it in. No, he simply brought me out a brand new iPod!

  2. Why don’t you guys set-up the perfect MDN site. Only provide news that “you” feel is important and do it all on your time and expense.

You didn’t have to click on the link or visit this site. MDN does a pretty good job at explaining a link in their headlines. It’s not like they baited you.

  3. I just picked up a brand new 60 GB iPod Photo today for the normal price of $399. To me, the extra $50 is well worth the difference for knowing I’m getting a brand new one that wasn’t returned for some reason. Not much of a deal IMHO.

  4. “It’s not like they baited you.”

no! they baited me! they MADE me read it!

Quit Complaining… quit complaining. we can complain if we want to. it’s what made this country! a bunch of teed off, disgruntled colonials said, “That King George sucks! What does he know about life over here?! And he’s takin’ all our money!” and that complaining turned into a revolution and… voila! birth of a nation! so, as a proud, red-blooded, flag waving American if feel it’s my right, my duty to complain!

that being said, there are some pretty good deals to be had. if i had some spare dollars lyin’ ’round i’d buy some stuff… heck, i just might go diggin’ in the sofa for spare change right now! BUT….

it ain’t news. i guess i visit Apple Stores deals section often enough to see these things. in the meantime, MDN does a very fine job without my help and i, personally, have no intention nor interest in starting a Mac news site. but i’m still gonna complain. and not just out of patriotic fervor… but ’cause i can and i wanna!!

    so there!! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”tongue laugh” style=”border:0;” />

  5. my wife would take issue with that…

and if you are implying that sex would make me a better person i regret to inform you that this is not true and would not work for anyone. but if this were a solution, your need would likely be greater than mine. and Kate… name calling? for shame!

  6. I think there is an emerging need for a new Mac news site, i.e. a simple, clean one with integrity. Just story summaries and a place for people to comment. Minimal amount of effort required. Slap up some Google ads at top and bottom and you’ll do pretty well. Just keep the excessive adver-crap off.

This site seems to be “spiraling down the bowl”. All these banners make it look like a pinball machine, then those horrendous interstitial ads the other day (resulting in mass censorship from MDN), and now the above affiliate links masquerading as “news” and leaving them up for the ENTIRE weekend. What B.S.

    Any takers?
