  2. What if I ordered it on April 30th from the online store, it was shipped on May 2nd, but received it on May 4th? This order AND take possession business is a little unclear. Anyway, I love my new powerbook 15″ either way and this would only be icing on the cake!

  3. Peeved….. I feel your pain, my wife and I each upgraded to Powerbooks a week and 3 days before respectively. I called Apple and they said it’s a no go… worth a try though.

  4. Guys, the “real” Triumph no longer posts here. Too many unfunny imitations by juvenile 14 year olds. He left for greener pastures, e.g. appleswitcher.com and the like.

I look forward to him perhaps occasionally contributing here under rotating nom’s de plume.

  5. Freaking awesome. I just picked up a non-refurbished 1.8 GHz superdrive iMac from the special deals page for $999; as I understand the terms of the rebate that counts, so the price is effectively $899. This is an incredible deal.

Silver lining to the eight-week wait for my rebate check: I used a credit card with rewards points, so I get points for money I didn’t actually spend! Happy birthday to me.
