Trust us, Steve Jobs’ Apple didn’t pay Limbaugh a cent for this advertising. Limbaugh is just a Mac user doing the routine evangelism. Fortunately for Apple, Mac user Limbaugh spreads the word to 20+ million listeners every time he praises Apple and the Mac!

Sometimes Rush bugs the hell outta me, too, but I do like the fact that he’s a Mac user and isn’t afraid to sing it’s praises whenever he can. I agree that Apple needs to Advertise Tiger as MUCH as possible now. This is the right time to do it.

I especially liked the part of his 15 minute monologue yesterday at 2pm Eastern wherein he let Windows users he was sorry for them because they were still in the “dark ages”.

Actually, having this file as an .asf or .wma is the right thing to do for reaching the target audience. We current Mac users aren’t really the targets of his advertizing.

I’ve heard this a few times before and it amazes me that the ones using the expression are too stupid to see the obvious contradiction.
The definitions of “narrow-minded” and “conservative” go very well together, but someone that is liberal, accepting of others that may be different however diverse it may be from their own, cannot be narrow-minded.
Now, if you mean that they are narrow-minded because they refuse to accept your specific views, then you are clearly wrong. A person can be liberal and still exclude specific concepts that would restrict others freedoms. Liberal means generous, not all-inclusive.
The largest idiocity of “conservatives” is that they are usually too ignorant to realize that liberals INCLUDE the rights of conservatives. The difference is that conservatives want the whole world to be just like them; kinda like “Hitler-lite”. Throughout American history, the conservatives have hated and often killed, Africans, Asians, native Americans, almost any non-christian religion, mixed-marriages (note this is almost reserved for whites marrying a minority, seldom two different minorities), and gays. The only ones left in the list are gays, because it is still socially acceptable to treat them as a 3rd class citizen.
Conservatives do not change because they do what is morally right, they change only when there’s enough of a minority to socially and financially beat the crap out of them. According to history, gays will soon be in such a position, and that is why conservatives are trying like Hell to stomp gay rights, to delay the inevitable ass-whoopin’ they can see coming over the horizon. Throughout history, the minority has always know what was good for society as a whole. Conservatives are too blinded by their own egos to see it.
Liberals like the beauty of the existing diversity and strive to decrease the tyrannical tendencies of the majority… and that diversity even includes the conservatives. Odd isn’t it?

Have you ever considered that the Left has co-opted (or more accurately, poisoned) the term “liberal”. This country was founded by Liberals (Washington, Jefferson, Adams, et.al), many of whom were the Christians or God fearing men you seem to revile. All of them were more socially and economically conservative by today’s standards than Rush, Falwell, DeLay, and President Bush (Bush’s big government liberalism would have been considered anathema to all of the founding father’s political beliefs.)
It is amazing that this has to be explained (but that is the public school system for you). Let me put this sucinctly; “Liberal” and “Conservative” are labels currently used to describe the Left and Right. They are NOT used like the dictionary terms for goodness sake! The Jeffersonian ideal of classical Liberalism is 180 degrees from what modern Liberals believe. Remember the phrase “the government that governs least governs best”? Tell me whether that famous Liberal, Al Franken, believes that? So who is the Liberal? Jefferson, who sought a limited role for Government or FrankenMooreGorePelosi who want the State to have its fingers in every aspect of our lives? Remember, every environmental, tax, or public policy law passed by big Statists has to be backed up by the threat of violence. In this regard, Liberals and the Democrat Party specifically is at the forefront of the promotion of abusive and violent government enforcement tactics.
In reality and practically, modern Conservatism is a highly progressive and reform oriented political philosophy (though not quite as progressive as Libertarianism) because it seeks to role back the oppressive policies of the left. It was Republicans who, by a larger majority than Democrats, enacted civil rights laws. It was Republicans who fought back against repressive Islamic fundamentalists who were seeking to force their world view on the rest of the world. Meanwhil Liberalism seeks to maintain the status quo of Big State Government control of your life (ala socialism, fascism, communism, etc.) and look the other way when our liberties are put in peril.
By “narrow minded” I mean the MoveOn.org, secular Higher Ed, Mainstream Media, Dem Party, Michael Mooresque mindset that anyone who is not a “Liberal” is an idiot yokel from JesusLand.
