“Piper Jaffray said that based on the announcement of the next Macintosh operating system from Apple Computer will boost revenue for the fiscal third quarter ending June. Piper Jaffray said that based on shipment timing of version 10.4 of Mac OS X, or Tiger, “we believe our June quarter software segment estimate is too low and we will likely need to add around 2% to our overall Apple revenue estimate for June.” Piper Jaffray currently expects third-quarter revenue of $3.13 billion for Apple. Tiger will ship April 29. The research firm noted that Mac OS X Panther shipped in late October 2003, with two months remaining in the December quarter, and resulted in a sequential revenue increase of $50 million,” Forbes reports.

I think we hear far too much from analysts and financial projectionists.
I don’t care what analysts say, I really dont. they are reactionary “Apple releases new iPod! They are gonna do well” vs “It’s been a while since we had a new iPod, looks like Apple is in trouble”.
It’s all meaningless, how do these people make money?
