Apple has released iPod software update 2005-03-23 which delivers iPod software 1.1 (for iPod with color display). The update provides support for the optional iPod Camera Connector for importing and viewing photos directly on iPod and also contains updated slideshow transitions.

I just updated my 60 GB iPod (photo) and now iTunes is reporocessing all of my photos. No big deal but I was just stopping by at home and didn’t plan to sit around for the extra 20 or so minutes it takes. Any reason for this? Did the update erase the photos on my iPod or does the update require reprocessing all of them? Just curious.
