  1. It’s a shame when my “gaming” Mac no longer meets the requirements of the newer games coming out. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” /> 800MHz G4 just doesn’t cut it anymore. I’ll just make it a web server with PHP/MySQL.

  2. Aspyr games are great, but whoever names them needs to learn the meaning of the word ‘concise’. Delta Force-Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre is not a name, it’s a mission statement! Rule of thumb is, if you have to pause in the middle of saying a game’s name to catch your breath, the name is too danged long.

  3. But isn’t that a video game?!?! All my favorite PC websites say that Mac’s don’t play games. They tell me that all Mac’s have green, 80-line, dot-matrix, 13″ monitors and you can’t check email because they are only compatible with rotary telephones!!!

  4. Loki-

Yes it is a video game. One that is now very “old” on the PC platform. I think the game is at least a year or older.

I think that’s the point most gamers are trying to make. I’m always 6 months to a year away from most titles compared to my PC friends. Though thankfully some games come out at the same time!

  5. Jerry T,

Oh, yes, it is a terrible dilemma indeed! What are we to do without the latest and greatest video games to take up our time and attention and to divert our minds from our pathetic lives????

Please, gaming god, please help us lifeless lumps of shit fill our meaningless existences.

  6. mac dood, yes, very sarcastic (even though I did have an Apple IIe with said screen!!).

My definition of a video game is challenging myself to learn a new trick with FCE or Adobe CS on my Dual 2GHz G5!!

When the PC industry is judged on their equipment being able to play the latest greatest video game for the trust fund baby with too much time and money on his hands, it’s no wonder they lack security and stability…
All they are worried about is how fast it can render me snipe some foreigner or blow up some form of mutated opponent!

    Here, here !

Those who think the definition of a great computer is one which gives you a good frame rate on the latest FPS, dont usually understand that sentiment !

On the other hand, it doesnt break my heart that being a mac head usually means I have to wait for the latest game releases…

While, at the moment, my current config will never play Doom 3.. I have found dozens of other titles which amuse me and play just fine…

But, I agree…. it’s more fun to see what I can do with various apps … especially those the Win-drones dont have the opportunity to “play” with !

    cheers !

    Ripped from tomorrow’s headlines? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”LOL” style=”border:0;” />

MAW: “youre” without the apostrophe because the MAW is stoopid and wants you to be stoopid too.
