That’s nothing. I came home to find my ISP has doubled my DSL speed to 2Mbps for free.
I want it too
wow… the news day just ground to a halt, didn’t it? ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”smile” style=”border:0;” />
but wooo!!!! for apple’s stock.
That’s pretty pathetic news.
MDN is reporting cheap commercial practices. That’s low, very low.
Golly gee! A whole screensaver? Wowser.
Frankly, I don’t think that downloading it is even worth my time. People who have a use for screensavers clearly aren’t working hard enough.
magic word: rather …which rhymes with lather. Mmmmm… lather….
Question: I’m using my 60 day free trial of .Mac; does anybody know if I can get the screensaver?
(Note: I’m on dial-up. Maybe I should reconsider the 17 MB download anyways… haha)
The POINT here is that, again, Mac is taking care of its customers!
When is the last time MS gave anything away? Oops – sorry, I forgot. They recently started giving away a free anti-spyware/adware program. Hey MS, how about just FIXING all your holes so we don’t NEED anti-spyware!!! LOOOOOOOOOSERS!
“That’s nothing. I came home to find my ISP has doubled my DSL speed to 2Mbps for free.”
Well, they actually cut your rate in half, then enrolled you in an upgrade program. Congrats on the speed bump though.
Some people are so jaded. I for one will gladly dl this one screensaver when I get home.
Only thing pathetic about this is the stupid replies…
It feels more like MacNN every day – you kids have nowhere else to go?
SB
SB – What else are we supposed to do during recess?
Downloaded screensaver. Nice. Not impressive. Like a fireworks display, it’s entertaining for awhile, then it gets boring fast. Makes for an interesting screensaver if a Wintel weeny happens to walk by.
I’m not going to buy the full version. The ap itself has enough workable functions to entertain my friends for the few minutes needed to demo it. “Wow! I didn’t know it was so crowded. Ok… now… umm… you got a program on this Mac that we can shoot and blow sumptin’ up?!”
I’m still not sure why someone really needs this.
Oddly enough, my cable modem seems to be dog slow (almost like dial-up) this afternoon. Weird. Reset computer and modem, still the same. I hope it doesn’t last too long, I have some new porn videos I need to post online.
Cool screensaver, thanks Apple!
“Nice. Not impressive. Like a fireworks display, it’s entertaining for awhile, then it gets boring fast”
Yes, typical Apple Product.
It’s not an Apple product you moron.

Aryugaetu “Oddly enough, my cable modem seems to be dog slow (almost like dial-up) this afternoon. Weird.”
Not weird at all. My extra 1Mbps had to come from somewhere. Think yourself lucky they didn’t upgrade me to 4.
Excellent!
I’ve been waiting for this program to appear since I saw it during last year’s keynote! Can’t wait to get home and try it out…
Lights… pretty….
Come on guys, it’s not suppose to cure cancer, it’s a screen saver!
All screen savers get boring if you stare at it for a while. It’s just suppose to put something cool on the screen between the times you use your mac to cure cancer. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
The fact that the satellites and positions are real just adds to the coolness. So does that free part.
Magic word, “children” as in. . . oh never mind.
I’m using it on my G4 iBook, but it seems to run pretty hot while it’s on (in between the speakers, by the hinge). I guess the video card doesn’t like it.
Question: is it bad for my machine for it to run hot a lot?
Thanks…
