Nice. Now I need “show duplicates” and better organization of my thousands of photos… I can’t wait to see if the new iLife/iPhoto ’05 will be much better.
Rock on Mac Mini.

i hope the shuffle does well. I don’t want one… but i could see why someone else would.
Magic word is Wish, as in, My wish list as pretty much been topped.
Apple could make a deal to indi bands so they could sell the Shuffle preloaded . Same for Audiobooks. I think it will kill flash players.
You can’t preload an iPod because it won’t transfer from iPod to computer.
I take that back. you can use any of the iPods as an extrenal hard drive, so the music could be stored on there as a transferable file.
I actually think thats a good idea.
I was surprised the U2 iPod didn’t come with the songs… not worth it if you ask me, but then again i’m the biggest u2 fan I know. They’re not bad tho….
The reason Apple does not provide any iPods with preloaded music may have something to do with their agreement with Apple Corps (The Beatles) which is already involved in a lawsuit.
itunes uses too much of the processor. Why is it such a MHz hog?
“no, ImNotGay” your a retard. iTunes use’s little to none of my computers. Time for you to buy a computer that was made before 1980!
The shuffle is going to be huge. Can’t wait to get one. Go Apple.
‘Show Duplicates’ is in 4.7 already.
You can see where this is all going – iTunes/iPod will end up being the defacto digital media hub.
The Mac Mini moves the feature goalposts towards the iPod, and away from the ubiquitious PC.
Here’s my bet:
There goes “Harmony” support! LOL! Bye Real!
Harmony got killed in the last update.
The last update un-neutered my cat! I am going to wait on this one.
I think iPod shuffle is going to be big, really big.
I know I can’t wait to get one.
Sometimes my iPod mini is just to big to lug around. ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”wink” style=”border:0;” />
Also, I’m thinking of all of the kids who have been begging for iPods but mom and dad thought is was too much money (or too fragile with the HD).
Lots of these parents won’t think twice about buying iPod shuffle for a young teen.
120 songs @ 4 minutes each is 480 minutes (8 hours!) of your absolute favorite music shuffled up for you in a package about the size of a pack of Wrigley’s for $99, amazing.
Hope they don’t sell out before I can order one…

I would wait with this update. Lot’s of people are reporting problems.
In this morning’s local news (WCVB Channel 5 in Boston) anchor Ed Harding read an item about Apple’s new iPod shuffle. He said, “in order to keep up with competition” Apple has released the new device, gave specs and prices on it, while showing stock footage of second generation units. “Keep up with the competition” when talking about the iPod. I like that. You can tell Ed isn’t a Mac man. Odds are he doesn’t know anything about fadsy music items, and the real culprit is the person who wrote the teleprompter script.
Like the Mac mini and know a few folks that are going to lose their Windows towers this year. Why? they all have camcorders and digi cameras and all that stopped them was high prices and recent upgrades to their PC hardware. Now they have a perceived low cost option, and they get iLife too.
I just ordered a 1G Apple thumb drive… did you know it plays music! ” width=”19″ height=”19″ alt=”grin” style=”border:0;” />
Does anyone know what the Apple event in Australia was about then? I notice there’s still no Aussie iTMS showing.
No iTMS in Australia. Apple is still negotiating with various government agencies concerning royalty payments, taxes. It’s a very difficult situation in Australia because of regulations. They hoped to have things worked out by now but no go. It will happen eventually. It’s a very small market and Apple would probably lose money anyway.

The Herald Sun reported about this on Monday. Apparently it was supposed to be the announcement about the first two Apple stores in Australia, one in Sydney and the other in Melbourne (I think).
